Happy Halloween!

So the family dressed up and headed out to church! (Too cold again for door-to-door)

Here are some pics.

Well...

I did predict a sweep, but I had my crystal ball backwards.

Red Sox simply overpowered us. But like I said to coworkers on Friday, before the all-star break the Rockies were minor league...I think the SkySox in town here were hitting better. So to have the honor of losing to the Sox in a World Series was good enough for me.

Now go to bed...you crazies.

Do Over?

Please?

So yeah, that's the Red Sox for ya. Once they get on a roll they can't be stopped. But when they are cold, they're cold.

Let see if the Rockies pitching staff will show up tomorrow night.

Rebutt to Rebuttal

Playing stat games with the Rockies isn't fair:

Italics are from our friends in Penn Steph's Stats, Bolded items are mine.

Boston 96-66 .593 Post season record, 6-3 .666 (Evil =P )

Colorado 90-73 .552 Post season record 7-0 1.00

HISTORY: in fairness only since Rockies became a team…
Colorado -

1995 - NL West Champs

2007 - NLCS Champs

Red Sox -

The following is in the past, this is like saying the yankees are unbeatable because they have won 4 world series since '96 ( and look what happened this year)

----------------------
1995 AL Wild card winner

1999 Division Champs
2003 Division Champs

2004 World Champs

2005 AL Wild card winner
-------------------------------------

2007 AL Champs
Beckett - Career Post season: 5-2, 1.51 ERA

yeah he's good, too bad he can't pitch all 7 games)

Schilling - Career Post season: 10-2, 2.19 ERA
past his prime. He's not the bloody sock we once loved

I would be more worried about your bullpen:

Red Sox ALCS
Wakefield 0-1 ERA 9.64
Delcarmen ERA 16.20 (on 1.2 innings pitched)
Gagne 0-1 ERA 7.71
Lopez ERA 18.00

Rockies NLCS
Morales ERA 2.25
Fuentes ERA 7.36
Herges ERA 0.00
Hawkins ERA 0.00
Affeldt ERA 0.00
Speier ERA 0.00

Manny - Holds record for number of HR’s in post season, 04 AL Hank Aaron Award;World Series MVP;AL Home Run Champion

Thats great and all, he also holds the record for longest single in ALCS history. Sox are down 3-1 and he decides to watch his 'homer' from home plate. Home boy needs to run it out

Speaking of Manny, left center at Coor's field is a full 90 feet farther than at Fenway. Let's hope chunky can make the run at 5000+ feet. Maybe he should bring out his water bottle again.

PS:

This is fun, lets hope they make it to the World Series, it's only a 1 run game in the 5th.

Snow! Woot!

So finally, we have snow. The wife is none too happy, but Sonja and I can't wait to run around outside. Good thing we got the pumpkins out of the garden yesterday (where we hit a balmy 70 degrees BTW)

Also on a side note. I'm fairly confident that the Sox will pull off another 3-1 comeback, but it won't matter. This series of pictures will explain:

Cookie Time

Well it's cold, and we might get snow tonight, so Sonja and I decided to make cookies. Don't worry, they'll be plenty left for when mama gets home tomorrow.
